Tea Time | Collection & Storage

Tea Time | Collection & Storage

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a tea addict. I've always been into coffee, but its just been within the past two years that I've really become obsessed and reaped the benifits of being an avid tea drinker. Tea provides caffeine when you want it, relaxation when you need it, and a warm and fuzzy feeling best complimented by the internet and cats. No seriously, tea is life changing.

Here are my most beloved mugs (also a strange addiction/collecting/hoarding habit/ of mine)

(A Royal Coronation mug from London. MEOW, FLORAL, Cat Mug from Rome)

A quick run down on some facts about tea. ( I'm a history major, I love quick historical facts, deal with it!) via

The Tea Association of the USA

* Tea is nearly 5,000 years old. It was discovered in 2737 BC by Chinese Emperor Shen-Nung, also known as the “Divine Healer,” when as legend goes, some tea leaves accidentally blew into the Emperor’s pot of boiling water.

* Anna, Duchess of Bedford, is credited with creating

Afternoon Tea

in 1840, when she began taking tea with a light snack around 4:00 p.m. to ward off “that sinking feeling.”

* Tea is a refreshing beverage that contains no sodium, fat, carbonation, or sugar. It is virtually calorie-free. Tea helps maintain proper fluid balance and may contribute to overall good health.
