Coconut Coffee Body Scrub | DIY

Coconut Coffee Body Scrub | DIY

This post combines some of my favorite things in life; Coconut, Cofee and a good pampering!

Whenever possible, I am trying to find new ways to DIY products that I won't use on a daily basis. There is no better smell than fresh coffee grounds, except for maybe fresh coconut. So, why not combine them both for a hydrating, exfoliating, and tightening body scrub?

Coffee is very rich in several antioxidents, and can be used as an inflammatory. The caffeine in coffee is used to draw out excess moisture in the skin, resulting in firmer and smoother skin. The coconut oil is moisturizing, and is filled with vitamins and minerals great for the skin. The brown sugar is used as an extra exfoliant, and the cinnamon helps clear away bacteria. I would definitely say that this body scrub is a multi-beneficial product!

For this homemade scrub, you will need four ingredients (all edible, so try and resist eating hehe)

1. 1/2 Cup Coffee Grounds

2. 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil

3. 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

4. 1 Tsp Cinnamon

All you have to do is take your ingredients, and mix until well combined. Your coconut oil may be solid, and if that is the case, gently heat it up just enough so that it is spreadable, like butter, but not a complete liquid.

Store the scrub in an air-tight container. I'm just using a very small Tupperware box.

Your skin will be left feeling soft, hydrated, and of course, you will smell DELICIOUS!
