Ello!

I recently took a two week holiday to Iceland and England. While abroad I tend to focus on shopping for items that I know I cannot get back in the states. My favorite thing to check out is beauty. Weather it be high-end or drugstore, I have found that countries all over the world offer a variety of budget friendly beauty and skincare. While in Iceland and England I picked up a few things to try out. As we all know, I am not one to spend a lot of money on well... anything. So these are drugstore products.

Garnier Clensing Micellar Water

In the past few years, the popularity of cleansing waters have risen, but so have their prices. Popular for being a great dupe for the semi expensive

Bioderma

, Garnier has begun to produce a cleansing water for makeup removal on sensitive skin. I first purchased this product online after reading about it on countless beauty blogs. I am hooked. Cleansing water is a gentle formula that removes all traces of makeup, leaves skin feeling soft and cleanse, and you don't have to rinse after. I use this on a cotton round instead of makeup remover wipes because there is no rubbing or irritation of the eyes. For breaking down makeup and being gentle to your skin, this product is amazing. The bottle is huge and lasted me more than half a year. Great bargain.

Neutrogena Nourishing Body Lotion with Nordic Berry

From their Norwegian Formula line, Neutrogena has released a series of hand and body lotions with the nordic berry scent. I first came across this product in Germany when I studied abroad, so its a very nostalgic smell for me. I loved it so much I brought some back with me to the states. I was elated to find it in the supermarket in Iceland.  The formula is light and hydrating, and the nordic berry smell is clean, fresh, and relaxing. Although of course you can find any lotion that competes with this quality wise, the smell and its memories are what compelled me to pick it up.

Simple: Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Day Cream SPF 15

While Simple products are available in the USA, they don't compare to the range of products available in the UK. They had entire sections of simple skin care ranging from anti-aging, sun protection, acne remedies, and simple skin. I went for this moisturizer because of its chemical-free solution and spf being present. This is a great product for those with sensative skin who don't like to fill their skincare routine with harsh ingredients.

Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream

In referencing what I said above, this is another Simple product not available in the USA. A good night cream is important, as your skin repairs itself while you sleep.  I figured that I would pick up the day-cream counterpart since it was so inexpensive.

Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Facial Scrub

I really liked the idea that simple was using witch hazel, an all natural ingredient to clear blemishes. In the UK, Simple has an entire line of witch hazel products to help clear up acne. I myself don't have issues with acne, but the occasional pimple that does occur I like to use a treatment scrub to help get rid of it. So far this has worked wonders, its gentle and witch hazel has been proven time and time again to beneficial to the skin. For those with sensitive skin, its a great product to help with acne without all of the harsh chemicals.

Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream

I've heard great things about Soap & Glory from British bloggers, and I am aware that is available in the USA with a few products at Ulta. Online it seems to be much more expensive than the drugstore UK price. I picked up this handfood for the winter months that will be soon approaching. Its supposed to easily heal dry skin and the smell is terrific.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub

Let me just start by saying that I did NOT need a body scrub, but when I smelled this I had to have it. Blended with real sugar crystals, the ingredients consisting of bananas, almond, and honey made it smell like waffles on a Sunday morning. Seriously, I could eat this stuff it smelled so good. Leaves your skin soft, hydrated, and smelling incredible. I highly recommend if you want to spend a little money on a pampering product.

Thanks for reading. I hope you found this post helpful.

As always, skincare is important but taking care of your skin from within is even more benificial. Plenty of water and a healthy diet are the secrets ladies, not all of the products!

xoxo,
