Tis the season! Keep it simple with my favorite homemade, vegan, peppermint hot cocoa. Its simple, not overly sweet, and the mixture of peppermint and chocolate is my favorite seasonal drink.
You will need:
- Almond Milk 1 (1 cup)
- Cocoa, raw cacao will work, I used Tollhouse baking Cocoa (1 1/2 tablespoon)
- Stevia (1 teaspoon to taste)
- Vanila Extract (1/2 teaspoon)
- Peppermint Essential Oil ( 2 or 3 drops to taste)
Heat almond milk in saucepan on stove until hot, reduce heat and add the remaining ingredients. You can top with some coconut whip cream, vegan marshmallows, or a peppermint stick to be festive!
